Washington Butler was born in Puyallup Washington, was always attracted by the arts. She was a performer in schools and at the community theatre. When she moved from Los Angeles, she studied theatre in The University of Southern California and performed as Belle the princess on the stage in Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland for a year and an entire quarter. She left college in search of an agent to represent her talents, and started auditioning for television and films. Butler appeared on television in the series CSI: Miami and CSI: NY.She was cast in the feature film A Couple of White Chicks at the Hair Dresser as well as The 2008 Syfy TV horror film Flu Bird Horror. That year she played the role of a woman in Don Stark's web-series Luke 11-17. Butler also played a regular role in I Love Vampires, a web serial. Butler won the leading part in the 2010 rape revenge thriller I Spit on Your Grave. This is a remake from 1978 of the classic of the same name. While initially dissuaded by the film's nakedness as well as the brutality, its strong female edge and character storyline convinced her to perform the character. Butler starred in Jennifer Hills as a novelist brutally assaulted by a gang in a cabin traveling. Produced by Steven R. Monroe the film was released on October 8 2010. Butler began shooting The Stranger Within, a psychological drama The Stranger Within alongside Estella Warren and William Baldwin in Mallorca Spain beginning in November of 2011. It was planned to film at Copenhagen Denmark, New York City in addition. Butler co-starred with Michael Welch in 2013's horror film The Demented.
